Back From SEBA #3!

It rocked. And a few things I learned, to be explained in excruciating detail tomorrow, are as follows:

1. I WILL finish the Steelhead swim in under an hour.

2. Low/no humidity makes an ENORMOUS difference in everything.

3. I ride better with nasty thunderstorm clouds chasing me.

4. My Bento Box is also a felony-class weapon, and....

5. The coast guard can begin combing Lake Michigan just seven minutes after calling them (don't worry, everyone is fine).

Yes, excruciting detail...I promise!

Everyone rides better with big thunderstorm clouds chasing them. Especially when riding through open fields. Something in the back of the head whispering about being the tallest thing around when the lightning starts hitting :)

Thanks!! It was SO crazy out there. Big waves, and I think I really scared VM! That current was awful. More details tomorrow :)

I laughed out loud at this..."The coast guard can begin combing Lake Michigan just seven minutes after calling them (don't worry, everyone is fine)."

Sounds like you had a good time with #3! Well, perhaps I should hold back on that comment until I know more about this felony-class weapon and why the coast guard was involved at all?! But you seem in good spirits so that is good! I can't wait to read about all the details! :)

Dear God, girl! I just read VM's version of events and I nearly hyperventilated! I want to give you a great big hug, then tell you very sternly not to EVER try to swim to Wisconsin again!

Maybe we should put a tracking chip on you. ;-)

So glad you're safe!!!!

oy yoi yoi. Vertical Man's account is hair-raising. I could feel his panic...so scary. Very glad you're ok and that you did not experience the same panic as he did. You are so ready for this swim after all these adventures - you can make it through anything! looking forward to the details...
