Star Wars for the Big "6"

The Millenium Falcon ship from Star Wars.

Well, Michael is officially obsessed with Star Wars now. The Transformers still rate and all, but have moved into a distant second behind good old Hans, Luke, and Darth. That said, he'll be six in about a week, so it's going to be a Star Wars birthday with of course, a Millennium Falcon cake.

We'll see if I can pull it off, but the research has begun and I have a pretty good idea of how to make it all come together. I think I may even add some Tie Fighter cupcakes and some licorice laser beams scoping them out! That would rock. Oh hey! And maybe even make some Mustafar lava punch or something too, hmmm...

You'd be a hero at our house with a Millenium Falcon cake. I couldn't pull it off for my five year-olds birthday earlier this month. If I see a picture of yours, maybe I'll attempt to copy for next year.

"Tie Fighter" = "TIE Fighter". As in, Twin Ion Engines Fighter.

What? Stop looking at me like that!

Resident Star Wars geek in the building. Email me if you hit a wall...

(ps - SO happy he's into Star Wars. My best birthday cake ever was R2...)

OMG. My husband would love said cake. I live with the biggest Star Wars geek on the planet. :) I had to really convince him NOT to hang his "Wisdom of Yoda" poster (complete with quotes) in our new living room.

That's awesome! I had an R2D2 cake when I was a kid too. I'm anxious to see the pictures of your Falcon!

Hans??? Oh, we have so much work to do if you're going to survive in a Star Wars household.

We are HUGE SW fans here! Each of my guys ended up with a "May the Fours be with you" cake and I once got lectured (by a six year old) on the different bounty hunters. Hope your little guy isn't as sassy! :D The cupcakes sound fantastic - you'll have to post pictures. (OH - and I scored a good (=cheap) SW cd at a used book store once. Nothing livens up a party like an Imperial March.) Have fun!

Hard to believe, but I'm jealous of a 6 year old because his birthday cake will be way cooler than mine.

THAT is my boy! Let me know if you need any further "geekin'" out info. Though it would appear I may be far, far away from being the biggest SW fan. So, are you wearing the Pricess L bikini then? ;^)

When we went to Disneyland and Mo rode the SW ride, it was all over for Land Before Time dvds.

We went back for every roll playing show they had while in the park. We were terrified that they would pull Mo out of the audience to fight Lord Vader with the choreographed lightsaber moves as a padawan apprentice.

Only because we thought he would turn to the dark side and start fighting the other kids.
